The entertainment patio was enclosed. It was also level with the lounge which was an elongated sunken area. The sunken lounge leading to this patio area was filled level with the rest of the house. As a result, we took an impromptu decision to use excess rubble to build up and create a raised patio floor area, matching the levels to the new raised lounge floor.
We extended the patio area 1.5 m out beyond the braai, as well as the roof. This was done to create a stair walk off to the side and back of the house and garden.
We removed the green fiberglass roofing and replaced it with opaque white polycarb panels.

The simple pillar design was inspired from this picture of a National Parks Board accommodation ad.
Needless to say, the aluminum enclosure was removed and sold.
